My bedroom slide outs stopped working and I was in a remote area. So I put the wardrobe one out manually. Found that I could not get to the bed slide motor to manually put that one out. When the head of the mattress is in the raised position you cannot lift up the bed. Checked switch on wall and found that there wasn't any power coming to it. So I ran a wire directly from the batteries and got it out that way. It turns out that there is a contact switch which is activated when the head of the mattress is in the down position and that allows 12 volts to the slide switches. A screw had backed out and the switch was just laying there. All this is under the bed.

GS should drop the "scissor" bed from their lineup. We've had problems, too. Charlie

Ours works when it feels like it too. Do any of you have to totally take everything off the bed platform to make it work? It seems the mattress, blankets etc. add too much weight. It is a pain to have to take it all apart just to move the bed!
