When we went to GS BHII Rally this year we bought some new furniture and had some made at an Amish WoodShop.

It had a dinete booth and a very uncomfortable fabric sofa/hideabed.
The bedroom was just a counter top open space. Needed the drawers
for clothes.

The ottoman and wall cabinette replaced a useless recliner that was not able to turn because of the co-pilot seat.

I have to chime in as well. I like what you've done with the place!

Your "before" pictures illustrate an interior layout & look, just about like ours. Your description of the recliner mirrors mine (useless, uncomfortable, & in the way). We removed ours to use in the house before my shoulder operation. The leather is good, but the mechanism, & size are ridiculous. It will never be returned to the motorhome.

I am in the process of finishing & installing a desk in the place where the recliner was (as you have done). My desk will be used by spinning the passenger seat to the rear. I noted the you also have relocated the ugly cup holders provided by Gulf Stream. What is the matter with those people that they didn't notice that their location prevented turning the chair without all sorts of contortions? Their apathy toward their product just astounds me.

You give me a great idea what to do with our plain, open space countertop in the bedroom. Thanks.

After my desk is completed, I intend to remove our kitchen "table" from the slide-alcove rear, rotate it, & fasten it against the slide alcove side so that we can sit at it sideways. I'll use the opportunity to raise it a couple inches so that I can get my legs underneith. I guess the skilled Amish craftsmen that GS touts are very short people. They are also very slender because I cannot site at the table on either side - there isn't enough room for me to sit on a chair in the tight space.... The craftsmen apparently found more than sufficient room.

Anyway Clyde, it's nice to see the touches you've incorporated, including the puppy pound.

Thanks Bob, Our dinette was the same way, couldn't sit comfortably.

Just a thought if you want to do the drawers ...

The front frame is one piece. I had it made to just clear the sides and top.
After I fastened that to the existing side cabinets I then installed the
drawer slides. they are fastened to the back wall and the front. The minimun depth was 12" for the drawers.

I'd be happy to take pics of the setup (shouda, coulda Didn't (Dummy)), but I was too anxious to get them in. (and get rid of the Walmart Plastic)
So you can see how it installed.

I'd be very interested in seeing the inner workings of your cabinets.

I am in the process of ordering a custom "Frame Face" from www.maplecraftusa.com (http://www.maplecraftusa.com) (located in PA). I intend to install it into the back-side of my desk to make storage at my entryway. If this works out ($$$'s?), I could use the same Maple Craft source for a frame face to install bedroom drawers, as you have already done. Thanks...

Will do Bob, just give me a couple of days. I have a few things to do
before I can get to the coach.

The frame face , Drawers, and all hardware (slides,etc) were included. I had to buy the drawer handles.

Our coach is our home, and crafting it is my hobby. I would be interested in RV sources that you utilized to do your remodel.

I wish I had enough cyber savvy to post before and after pictures. I pulled out all the carpet, every inch of it, and replaced it with laminate. I had no experience with laminate, but the results were brilliant. One quick swipe with a swiffer and the place is clean.

Again, nice job, and if you have URL's for your RV craft sources I would appreciate it if you could send those to me.

I have used "Focus Woodworking" in Napannee, IN. It is a small Amish
Business that specializes in Coach work. They are 3miles from the GS Factory. For Funiture I use Bradd and Hall in Elkhart,IN.

I like to go thru coaches and get ideas. Thank goodness for Lowes and Home depot, like you, I love to tear and build. The RV magazines have
lots of ideas and new "stuff that you can't live without".

Bradd and Hall have a new flooring material that looks and wears like
tile. No grout, inter-locks and looks great. I am going to take out the carpet in the living area and use that.

So many things to do ...and so little time !
