Next week I will bid on a repo 2007 Friendship G8.

When I walked into this unit, I liked the sun room which I believe Gulf Stream has a Patent on.

The unit also seemed to have a richness that most other motorhomes do not have.

I also like Hydro/Aqua Hot Units or Oasis Units (similar to Hydro Hot).

I am also a fan of fiberglass roofs.

If I do not get this unit, what other Gulf Stream units have the sun room, Hydro Hot, and fiberglass roof?

Also what should I look for on the G8 and any problems?

Thanks for the info!

Dave, glad to see you made it over to this board. I have the same coach except for the engine. We have had nothing but good luck with our dealer and Gulf Stream on what few problems we have had. I would first contact GS and find out about the warranty, my feeling from past experiences they will have not problem in giving it to you, but remember most component parts are covered buy each manufacture and not GS.

The Aqua Hot is about a 6 to 7k option that most other manufacture's do not offer as std. in their top of the line coach and believe me its worth every penny. Over the first year you will have your share of little problems but that's par for the course with any new coach, but the longer you own it the more you'll learn all the little things GS does to make a better coach. Good luck and I hope you get it.

Thanks for the info.

When I walked into the Friendship, I immediately liked the sun room.

Was not for sure what brand I wanted until then.

For what I do, the Hydro/Aqua Hot systems are ideal. The Oasis is similar to the Aqua except there seems to be less soot. They are very, very close.

If I do not get this Friendship, I will get a GS in the future.

The bank is not a GS Dealer.

The RV center handling the sales are also not a GS Dealer. As such the GS Warranties are dead. GS might make an exception.

However, deducting from the offer an amount to cover this.
Expect some issues to surface.

The bank owns over $3,000,000.00 in new RVs that it wants to move.

As of Friday (subject to change) I was the only one who expressed an interest in the Friendship.

So I have a fighting chance.

Have a great weekend!

PS: Toad will be a 2008 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited.

Dave, I believe you would be happy with the Friendship G8. It is a great coach and well made. I am not sure about the Sunroof since I don't have one, but some like them and some don't. Gulfstream use to have another coach called the Atrium, but they had some water leak problems. My understanding is that Gulfstream corrected that problem with an overlay on the seals, so the Friendship should be OK. I like the heating system that you mentioned. Good luck on your bid.
