Has anyone had problems filling up their gas tank, in order to fill it up I need to hold the nozzle and fill very slowly or it will overflow.

We have the same filling problem with our BT Cruiser Model 5291.
It takes 10 to 15 minutes to fill the tank a penny at a time!
From what I've read on the Forums, it appears to be related to the vent hosing to the fuel tank. From what I've read, you have to make sure the vent line is higher than the fuel line. I'm waiting for winter to dry up and go away so that I can get under my rig and check it out.

Good Luck,
Pete
P. S. - Let us know if you have any luck finding a solution.

I've pushed my vent line as high up as I am able, but it will still only take the last 20 gallons of my 80-gallon tank at a trickle.

I went to using a transmission fluid funnel -- the kind with the long, curved neck. I can regulate the gas (slowly) into the funnel at such a rate that the funnel doesn't overflow and the pump won't cut off.

I traced my problem to two small kinks in the rubber hose leading from the gas cap to the tank, I found by squeezing the hose at the kink it opened up, so I took a piece of PVC pipe with the same inside diameter as the hose was on the outside and cut it in half ( ) and used hose clamps to hold it in place. We went on a 1000 mile trip soon after that and it worked perfectly.
