On my 03 Friendship, I have a Winegard VS 0503/5312 antenna switcher. It has a power button. Is this for the antenna booster? When I turn it on, a red light comes on but nothing happens to the picture. With my digital convertor I keep getting a message that I need a better antenna. I installed a new antenna head and I am sitting less than 5 miles from the TV station, but still no signal.

The red light means the booster is on. Take the coxial cable off from the new antenna and check for voltage on the cable between the single wire in the center of the coxial cable and the outside metal mesh or the nut.
You should get a voltage reading around 12 volt.
If no reading there the booster might be bad, on the back side of the booster take of the cable that goes to the antenna and check for voltage from the center where the single wire goes in, to the metal outside where the nut screws on, should be about 12 volt.
There should be some troubleshooting on the manfacture web site, I am not sure of the exact voltage, mine is 12 volt but is not Wingard

Took the ceiling down on our 2021 bt5210. Found a white antenna wire coiled up above the ceiling between the AC and front roof vent. It travels from the antenna booster behind the tv. It was plugged into the booster along with the black wire from the camp ground cable hookup and an orange wire to the roof Wingard. It matters which wire is plugged into which port on the amp.
