will not convert to 12 volt when 110 unplugged

when I unpluge 110v from 1989 Gulfstream class a it will not convert from 110 to 12 volts..checked batterys and replaced both solenoids and still will not convert from 110 to 12 v and put new fuses in solenoids

do you have a inverter or a converter. A inverter will input 12 VDC and output 120 VAC. a converter takes 120VAC input and supplies 12 VDC to the motor home.

If you have an older magnatek converter the relay is probably stuck. You need to take the cover off and you will see it, it has a couple heavy gage wires going to it. Make sure the 120 volt power is off and give the relay a little push, its basicly a solonoid pluger that pushes the switch open when 120 volt is applied to the coil.
