I am looking at a 2008 Diesel front eng. It has FRTL 340 class A.

I have heard good and bad about front diesel and not sure about FRTL 340. This will be my first diesel.

I did like the idea of a pusher for less noise does anyone know if there is more noise than front end gas.

We do long trips to Mexico and mountains so also concerned about power.
Can anyone give me inputs.

Should I consider this or move on. I own a gas Allegro now

You can email me wdean9dsbcglobal.net or call 760 944 9486

Thanks for you help

Walter

I drove one a couple weeks ago when I was looking at new coaches. It was a 34' bunkhouse model. I have a 34' super c and it was quieter than my 8.1 gas coach. I think the engine was a bit louder, but much less wind noise. I also drove a supernova with the 300hp detroit and a 350hp cummins rear pusher all the same day. the independence was much better than the SN and of course louder than the rear pusher. All of them were better than my 2009 Super C in noise and ride.

Thanks for the info on noise with front end diesel. After thinking about it I guess I may start looking at pushes as noise is a big factor and understand you get more power with pusher.

Thank you for your help

I think you also get rid of the drive shaft, which might result in positive storage results.
