Can anyone tell me how the dash gen start switch is wired in a Sunsport?(2001)
When the gen is running the switch lights up and I can shut the gen off but I can not start the gen with the switch.I have to go outside to the gen to start it.
It is a Generac gen
The switch has 5 wires running to it and the switch closes contacts when operated.Do I close to a ground or battery to start the gen?

Would also like to know... only I have an Onan w/ 4 wires...

EDIT: I found I have 4 wires, all from the switch in the dash: Red, Green, Brown, Blue. Brown and Blue are Grounds. Red is START, and Green is STOP. The genset STARTS and STOPS from the application of Ground. START grounds the Starting Solenoid, STOP grounds the genset's Ignition.

Also found a broken pin that is a BATT+ output, presumably for the BATT Condition light.

Still cant get mine to work, however.
