Well, its all hooked up and the camper is loaded and ready to go. All I have to do is put the keys in and go. My wife gets of in 4 hours and then we head to NJ to visit family for the weekend. I love taking my own bed and bath with me (and my own stash of beer) 8) .

I got the brake buddy in and tested.
The blue ox acclaim hooked up.
Saftey chains on and the breakaway wire on.
Magnetic lights on and plugged in and tested.
Transfer case in N and parking brake off.
Brake sensor is plugged in and the remote and tested.
I have to put the key in and turn to the first position (OFF/unlocked steering)

I hope I didn't forget anything. Wish me luck. I am open for advice for the next few hours.

And to think this is all to go see my MIL  Just kidding. She is up from TN and visiting my DW's sister and the grandkids. I have to turn my son over to his mother for Easter anyway and then I get him and his brother back Sunday night. My youngest son lives in MA with his mom until this summer, then he moves in with us. I am so excited.

We will also be trying out the new inverter for the first time. I hope to get by with just battery power this weekend. We have a bank of 4 12v batteries. Most of the activity will be in the SIL house so it shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway, Happy Camping to all of you and enjoy the weekend.

Safe travels!

Don't think you'll be tempted to run the generator outside the MIL's room... all night 8) ???

The only advice is: don't forget to place the ignition in that off/unlock position. I try to make it so that I don't have to remember to go back in once the door is closed. Also, separate the ignition key from remote "clicker" & keep the clicker with you. That way, your car is locked even with key in the ignition.

Let us know what lessons you've learned upon return.

(edited later) PS: just realized - a Wrangler wouldn't have a remote, & you wouldn't want to leave key in ignition unattended

We got back last night at 1am. No problems. The Jeep still works and all is good. I love the backup camera. I could watch it and make sure it was still there :D . We took two keys with so I could lock the doors with the key in the ignition. We always left someone on guard duty at the rest areas. We stopped a few times just to inspect things on the rig...just to make sure. All went well. It was tempting to run the genny but we refrained lol. Thanks for all your replies. We had a great weekend.
