We have amber accent rope lighting throughout the coach. The bulbs appear to be incandescent and half of them are burnt out. I want to replace these with LED rope lights.

Can anyone tell me if the factory installed rope lights are 12 Volt?

Yes, they are 12 volts. Just replace mine with new ones. I purchase them from the company that original supply Gulf Stream with them so that they were the right length and size. Check them out.

I replaced the square Krystal lights that are in the steps. I ordered them thru Gulf Stream from Vista manufacturing. Mine are on square tubing amber. On the purchase order they discribe them as SKL amber. Part number is 02X374. I needed 138" of the square tubing Krystal lights. They cost me $140.32, but then I am no electrician so I took the parts to Findlay RV in Las Vegas and they installed them. I believe they charged me like one hour labor. But they had to cut to certain length, then apply some kind of sealant on the ends of the square tube to seal them. They really look nice.
I also have those lights on the ceiling in the living room. There is about a ten foot mirror on the ceiling and it has those lights all around the mirror. I noticed that two light bulbs have gone out. It is not very noticeable , but I know that eventually that will also have to be changed out.

OH I almost forgot that they are twelve volt because they light up when you are not hooked up to shore power.

I'm going to call Vista on Monday. I need about 50 feet to do the areas in the front of the coach. On line I found a few places selling the lights for about $300.00 for a 150 foot roll of LEDs and about $60.00 for a roll of incandescent.

The only thing you got to watch is that it has to be for twelve volts. Home Depot and many other places sell rope lighting, but is for AC power at 120 volts. Not sure if that would work on wiring that was installed at the factory for 12 volts. Like I said, I sure am not an electrician.

If you measure the lights that you need Vista will send you the exact lights for you unit. They are easy to replace since only 12v don't have to worry about getting a shock. I replace mine on my steps, they were square lights, and they fit right into the slot. So check the lights that you need and email them with this info and info on your rig. Make sure when u measure that u do an exact measurement done to the 1/4". Thought I would just round off my measurement but when I sent them the dim. Krista email me back saying they can send that but the rig had 1/4 longer one. Short story, got the 1/4 longer to match original. Like the previous note says don't buy from HD or Lowes for they are for 120v with step down inverter. Listed below is a copy of the email from Vista

Thank you for your email! Here are your costs on the lengths that you
provided:

Amber SKL, 29", 12V, 3" Bulb Spacing $14.21 / Each
Amber SKL, 36", 12V, 3" Bulb Spacing $17.64 / Each

Looking through Gulf Stream records, it appears that they ordered a 29.25"
light. I will quote you on that as well - it is a very small difference in
length, but it might be what was installed in your unit.

Amber SKL, 29.25", 12V, 3" Bulb Spacing $14.33 / Each

We make all of the parts to order, and the lead time before shipping is
approximately 1 week. We can take Visa, MasterCard or American Express for
payment; or if you prefer, we can ship to you C.O.D.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Sincerely,

Very dissapointed. Sent two e-mails to Krista and no response. I'll try the telephone on Monday and give it another try.

TNT - your e-mail from Vista indicated prices between $14 and $17 each. Did that mean "PER FOOT" or for each set of lights?

Price was for each set of lights.
