2001 Ultra Supreme: The vent for the grey water tank is under the sink. Even after cleaning the tank(can't put a flushing hose on it) we get an odor. What would it hurt if I covered the vent?

Plugging the vent will allow your tank to build up pressure, and you may increase air leakage from the tank to the RV through the sink and shower drain lines.

I got a new vent for my line at Lowe's for around $6. It is easy to change.

thanks Larry. I have a vent already on the pipe, I am just getting an odor. I will try some baking soda, etc in the tank. I have already tried the same enzimes I use for the black water tank, with no luck.

Evidently what you both are trying to say is the vents go bad, and need to be replaced. Is that correct?
