We have a 2007 Gulf Stream Prairie Schooner Fifth Wheel. We have a Suburban furnace. Many times while running it begins to sound like a jet plane when it goes to afterburners. The sound becomes louder. A technician has consulted Suburban and has removed the furnace from the unit and cannot duplicate the problem. We do not want to replace the furnace is we do not have to. has anyone else had this problem? I considered replacing the regulator at the tanks because it may not be properly regulating the amount of propane going to the furnace (and gas stove and oven). Does any one have any suggestions? \\Thanks,

I had a 5th wheel that had the same problem.... after chasing it for a couple of years i traded up to a class A. first time out the rear furnace was loud as heck.... sounding like a jet on after burners.

I took th inlet cover off and started the furnance after it got warmed up the after burners cut in (sound).... I then reached in and touched the unit and the sound went away.... the metal tin unit heats up and starts vibrating..... I braced the unit up with piece of metal and have never heard it since...... Try this .... I hope it works for you
