After our first 2,000 mile trip I gave the new BT 5291 a bath and can not get the bugs off the over head cab. They came off the front hood, bumber and mirrors but not to over headcab.

It looks like they are gone but the splatter is still there. This is after washing with Simple Green, then scrubbing, then bug remover then waxing. Looks like a shiny smear but it is smooth when you run your fingers over it.

Never had this problem before. Is it becaue the unit is new (60) days? Something wrong with the paint? Need answers as it looks bad.

I always use damp bounce tissues and find they remove bugs and guts with no problem cant help you with the marking

First time I read about the dryer sheets I thought "you got to be kiddin me". Tried it and it made a believer out of me. I could not believe how easy they came off

As we drove up through BC to Alaska with a pop-up we got a bunch of paving oil splattered on our vehicle and camper. We tried to wash it off with hot water/soap with no luck. Some folks said "use diesel fuel" well i was apprehensive and did not. What did work really well, and actually saved us from filing an insurance claim was WD-40. It cleaned it right up, (bugs as well), but be wary that it can take of the paint coating if not rinsed off, or so I am told.

Thanks for the bounce technique. I will certainly put it to the test.
