I know this subject has been here before but I have not been able to get the answer for this one question. Does anyone have the operation manual for the power gear leveling system with the pad part # 140-1179?

Also note the most important tip about the #140-1179 Touchpad:
Power Gear Leveling Jacks with Dewald Manual System Touchpad #140-1179
Problem: All lights flashing. Pumps runs but jacks are inoperative.
Solution: Reset the keypad as follows
1. Press F and R buttons together and then release. On/Off light will flash.
2. Press LR button 3 times. On/Off light will turn off.
3. Press On/Off. On/Off light will come on.
4. Jacks should now work.
I must do this every time I start my MH. Ridiculous but it works.

Craig,
If you need to use the reset sequence you describe each time you apply power (by turning on the ignition switch...) then the micro-controller in your panel is toast. I had mine go out when I first bought my 2007 Tour Master as a used unit last year, and Power Gear provided a replacement under warranty -- so check with them first. At the time I had about 8K miles on the coach, but I think the length of time since first sold is the key factor for warranty issues...

Thanks for the suggestion.
The problem is: Power Gear does not speak to customers. Try their 800 number (800) 334-4712: "Thanks for calling Power Gear. If you are a customer, contact your dealer. If you are a dealer, call the dealer support number" Click!
My panel is beyond its two year warranty. I will try to keep it running.
I certainly have little incentive to buy anything new from Power Gear given their distaste for customers.

Does anyone know if we can replace the power gear controllers with another brand, but keep the hydraulic rams?
Don
they do have a new upgraded pad, I got one when I was at the BH rally in 08. I got mine from Gulfstream and I did a lot of screaming to get it.

I disconnected my touch pad power from the ignition switch and have power (fused) on it all the time, haven't had a problem with (about 2 years now)
I put the up graded pad and have had no trouble for 2 years. It is up to you to do what ever you want
