Table screwed into the wall - leg won't budge either.

My Amerilite has the table screwed into the wall. Grrrrrr! I was told that it was a second sleeping area. My grandson was not happy when camping and that table would not go down! Needless to say I am not either. I can not budge the leg of that table either. Not sure if it is glued in or what. I don't want to break something but are the Amerilite's made so no one can sleep on the table area? The table is so solid I hate to tamper with it, but still I only have sleeping space for two instead of four.
