Relocation of spare tire

2001 Chev, Gulf Stream, Conquest, 30FT. Spare tire 16inch, 8 lug is mounted up under the rear of the MH about where spare tire is. Do to 8 back operations and a bad heart I can't handlel this tire where it is located. I would like to relocate it to the back wall, centered above the bumper. I need to know how this wall is structured and where is the support. Is the wall wood or metal. I pull a small car so it can't interfere with the hitch. Questions made to GS are not helpful. They are almost hateful. Thanks.

I see that no one's replied and you posted in October. If you're still around, my recommendations would be to obtain a good 'road service' and leave the spare where it is. 8)

I've a bad back also having surgery in '93, and my spare tire is currently located underneath. For flats I carry a small compressor, hose, and a tire flat kit. Now if it's beyond that, totally destroyed, I'm calling the road service.
