I've already chronicled the roof repairs, so I figured I'd show you how my interior repairs are going.

First, here's how bad it all looked:

I cut out the damaged particle board flooring using a circular saw and a door jam undercut attachment for my Rotozip. Digging out the rotten particleboard from under the wall sill plate was a long tedious process.

Repeated soaking with bleach got rid of most of the black mold.

On the right side I dug out the rotten wood from below the sill plate, but on the left side I used my jam saw to cut along the wall as close as the saw will allow since it was still in tact mostly. I used my grinder to cut out all the unwanted screws. Obviously, the new plywood will slip underneath the sill plate and butt up against the old floor on the left.

These were taken before the bleach onslaught.

I taped up the black plastic on the under carriage with black duct tape.

I used cellulose insulation in the floor since I had to shove it several feet rearward due to all the wet fiberglass batt I had to remove.

Tip: be sure to staple the plastic to the floor studs from underneath about every 4" or so. That way, you won't be over-stuffing the void underneath.

Tip: use a strong drill and thinset mixer paddle to break up the cellulose. Put some in a plastic garbage can and mix away.

New 3/4" plywood is in place.

I had to pull off all the ceiling paneling because of the wet insulation inside.

I used R-13 batt insulation in the walls. I pulled it apart to make two thinner batts that would fit inside the walls. One $8 roll did all this and more.

Ceiling paneling is in place, as well as a couple of wall panels. I used the old panels as templates for the new.

Note the T-shaped kicker I used to hold the floppy paneling in place while I nailed. I used three kickers.

I sanded down the seam between the old particle board and the new plywood with a belt sander. Instead of going with the expensive and slow drying floor leveler, I used good ole Bondo to fill the seam and the low spots. Worked great and I was able to get the floor installed in the same day.

This is cherry vinyl plank flooring from Lumber Liquidators. It was $1.25-ish a square foot. Got this done in one day. I only need about 150 SF to do the whole trailer, but I ordered 180 SF so I'll have some extra.

I got the bunk bed area gutted yesterday. I'll post pictures of that later.
