Magentic step senor fell off - reattach and model #

The magnetic step sensor that tells the motor to retract the steps fell off.

This is OEM "secured" to the door frame with a bit of double stick tape....

A few questions if someone can help please:


1. I think this is the model number Kwikee Magnetic RV Door Switch - Black 905323000..

2. When I attempted to flush mount it again the and use some epoxy - the door to the RV would not close - it seems the sensor has to be mounted at a ~ 45 degree angle as there's not enough clearance for the screen door and to flush mount the magnet and the magnets to come in contact.

Anyone have any ideas, experience - feedback on this ....

I now have "bar" magnets for emergencies like this :-) :-).

When I close my door there is maybe a 1/4 inch gap between contacts. they should not have to make complete contact with each other. Make sure to not wedge the contact between the screendoor and the door frame; you might crack something. Good luck.

The design - at least to me looks like the interior door sill piece 'looks' like it should flush mount - but it obviously does not - wierd thing is that it could not have had double sticktape keeping it adhering then...
