Winterizing a 1999 Gulfstream Conquest

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We live in north Louisiana so not brutally cold but we do get occasional hard freezes. We just bought the motorhome from a guy who bought it just 8 months ago. He did not winterize it but since he kept it next to his house he put a ceramic heater in there and ran it on 40 degrees. We are storing ours at a storage facility that is basically a shed over it so weren't comfortable since no one could monitor it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated it.

I live in a similar environment being in North Texas. I do the following:

Drain holding tanks
Drain the hot water heater
Blow out the lines using an air compressor after opening all faucets
Add RV antifreeze (from Wal-mart or Camping World) to all P traps and toilette

Store the coach. This has been successful for me for several winters even when it got down into the low twenty's.

That procedure is great if you can get to the water heater bypass valve. However, GS installed mine over the fresh water tank, behind a set of drawers in the master bedroom. I have to disassemble the drawers to get to in.

Like I said in my winterizing, we are lucky to be in a climate that does not get that cold. So far, my procedure has worked flawlessly without having to disassemble the coach to perform.

I might add that I use my winterizing technique three to four times each winter because we use the coach to go to Arizona to see the kids. I winterize after each trip.
