I'm curious.

Does the Freightliner XC chassis that the 2006 Tour Master sits on come with shocks? I know it has air bags suspension but I'm reading that shocks are a add-on to these chassis (according th the specs on the website).

If they don't have shocks, then I would like to hear some thoughts and suggestions about adding.

It does sway and hits bumps harder than I expected It should.

Thanks

Dave....

You can go to the Freightliner website at the linkbelow and click on Gulf Stream, then Tourmaster and it will open aPDF file for you to see the specs on your chassis.

Thanks Ron,

It seems that it does have shocks and a stabilizer bar on the front.

It also says there are 4 aluminum and 2 steel wheels however, mine has 6 steel wheels with chrome covers.

I wonder if GS or the Dealer I bought from switched them out?

If you go to the link I provided below of the Tourmaster website, it list all the standard features and it shows under options that the aluminum wheels are an option.

As far as for ease of care, stay with the steel wheels w/stainless wheeliners, believe me. Since I like to keep everything clean and shining, it takes me 6 hours to completely polish the aluminum wheels. Thank goodness I only do complete clean/shine on them about 3 times a year, rest of the time just wash and dry. SS were much easier on the last coach.
