Has anyone added a 3rd air conditioner to their Tourmaster. Looking to replace center vent fan with another air. Wondering how hard it would be to get AC wiring up into ceiling.

I don't see any problem installing a third a/c the hole is perfect you just have to work out electric maybe a future is in the area

The wiring should already be there. They had some problems with the TourMasters being too big and long for two air conditioners and Gulf Stream was installing the extra air conditioner on the 42' models. I believe the wiring runs right down the center of the coach between the roof and ceiling.

Would it not be better to make the two you have larger in BTU capability than to add a A/C unit ?

They are already 15,000 units. We we in Houston June thru Nov. last year and may have to do it again this year. When it was a 110+ outside it was 80 + inside units could not keep up. Coach is dark color so that doesnt help either.

I have the third Air Conditioner in my Tourmaster, factory installed. I have not been in an area where we used all three at once. It seems to me the documentation suggested that only two be used at any one time as three would overload the system. I am not near the MH so cannot confirm that. I do know that we had a 5th wheel with one unit and when in Havazu one spring and the outside temp was around 110 and the AC would only reduce the inside temp to 90 deg, I called in the experts. I was told that the AC were expected to lower the temp by 20 deg and if it was doing that it was working as designed.
What we have done with our Tourmaster when we were in warmer areas was to close off the bedroom area during the day and run both of the front units. When we went to bed we would run the front unit and the bedroom one. With the nights being cooler than daytime it has worked well.
