My husband and I are about to purchase the 2008 independence and can't find any reviews about it any where. Does anyone have any imput to this RV? The one we are purchasing has 3200 miles and is in pristine condition. Does it have any problems of note that anyone would care to share with us? Thanks.

I have an 06 8295........I could not find any reviews for it either, but we bought it because the wife liked the floorplan (3 slides in 30').......

Couple of cautions:

the MH is overloaded in the front ...(at least mine is, a 2006)....even when empty....(this is due to the 3 slides in a 30' gas MH)......If you load anything to the front of the rear axles you will overload the front axle......For example, the gross front axle weight is 7000 lbs and I weighed mine totally empty when I bought it and it was exactly 7000 in the front........ the rear is fine......I just load everything I can to the rear as far back as possible and know that I am overweight in the front......It amazes me that a MH mfg can get away with things lke this........I would suggest you weigh it frt and rear prior to purchase then make your decision.......

Do not expect anything from the mfg.....GS cust service is non-existent, at least that has been my exp and that of others....I know some have had good exp with GS but many have not....That said, buying used you will prob not need anything from the mfg ..

We like the MH, cust service probs with the mfg aside ....It is entry level and the workmanship leaves alot to be desired but we knew that going in.....I have "retacked" alot of the area around walls, etc.......Just be aware of the weight issues and understand that altho GS is still in business you can expect nothing from them......
