Had the folks from Direct TV over yesterday to hook us up. After some time the Technician said he could not get a Signal from the Dish to our TV''s? Tried several different things,
but none of them worked. He said that apperently we must have a " Splitter " hooked up somewhere that is preventing the Signal to get thru. So we didn't get connected! Has any
one out there had a similar problem with Direct TY, and if so, did you get it solved? We would like to get this taken care of before the Playoffs starts........................... :D

Thanks for your help,
Stonesfan

There should be seperate hook up for your sattelite dish. You can't use the connection for park cable, you have to use the one for sattelite only, it. It usually only goes from the outside to where the main tv is located.

Stonesfan,

What is the model and year of motor home that is having this issue? Gulf Stream does not publish many schematics, but here is a fairly generic one that does show a bit about how they typically wired the entertainment electronics.

You will note that the source switcher/selector (the AVS 100) has a direct input for the roof mounted dish. It does not come from the 'cable' connection that you use for a park connection...

Tim, Cindy, and Chuck, thanks for your input! We have a 2008 Tour Master with KVH TracVision Dome. We tried BOTH outside Cable connections, Satellite & Cable. For some reason
we could not pick up the Signal from the DirectTV Dish! Very strange, when we used Dish Network and hooked it up to our Dome, it worked fine. We were starting to have some issues
with Dish so that is why we went to DirectTV. Thinking back now, we may have just had a Bad Reciever from Dish, so we're going to go to Camping World and exchange our Reciever
and give it another go with Dish Network and see what happens? My Wife is not having our now 6 Channel reception from our Crank Up Antenna......................................... :D

Stoney,

I don't know about your dome, but with the folding satellite antenna on my 2007 Tour Master there were switches on the antenna itself that determined if it were looking for one provider over another -- different settings for Dish versus DirecTV. You might check the manual for your dome antenna that came with your coach.
