The entry door on my 06 Friendship has nothing to hold it open. There are 2 "ball" studs, one on the door and the other on the door frame. My guess is that a strut is used to hold the door open. I measured the length needed to hold the door open at 90 degrees and with the door closed, purchsed the strut closest to those measurments, everything worked except the gas cylender was too big for the screen door to close. I have asked several different places but still no help, anyone have an idea???? Thanks.

Mine has some kind of bracket about halfway down the door and the hinges, but it is not like the shock absorbing type that you see on some coaches or at home. I am afraid that if a strong wind was to hit, it probably would damage the door itself. So I hardly ever leave the door open.

I have the same coach as you and it sounds like the gas cylinder has broken off your unit. I will pull the numbers off mine this weekend for you and will post them for you next week.
