Has anyone replaced their Coleman Mach analog thermostat with the digital one? I believe the thermostat in my Innsbruck Trailer is a coleman mach (AP7862 7330-G335?) thermostat.

I found a Coleman Mach digital thermostat 8330-3662 which is apparently a direct replacement for the analog one. (Should be the same number of wires and one-for-one color match, etc. in replacing one with the other).

I ordered one and will be trying it. I also believe the wires are color-coded as follows: Green - High Fan, Gray - Low Fan, Yellow - Compressor, Red - 12VDC Positive (+), Blue - 12 VDC Negative (-), and White - Heat.

I'm curious if my information is correct, and I should be trying it soon.

It took all of about 5 minutes to complete, and have finished. The new thermostat was a wire-for-wire replacement (6 wires, 6 wirenuts to twist off then on the new thermostat).

The hysteresis is far better than the old. I set the new thermostat to 72 degrees and opened the windows to cool the trailer. When it hit 71, the heater came on, and went off at 73 degrees. That is much better than the +/- 5 degree spread of the analog thermostat. And the added benefit, I have a digital temperature display to tell me what the actual temperature is.
