Chasis Air Condition System

We have a 2010 SunVoyager Gas motor Home. When we use the vehicle/chasis air conditioning system to cool as we travel the temp dial has to be all the way to max cool, the dial that lets you choose AC has to be on max AC and the fan has to be on high for the system to cool the MH. So we are either freezing or sweating. There doesn't seem to be any vents opening or closing to regulate the temperature as they do in conventional vehicles. Any ideas or suggestions?

There is a vacuum pump that is not opening up. I had to change mine a few years back. It was made by Evans. Actually I did not change it myself. I had it changed at the dealer where I bought the coach because it was still under warranty.
