We just bought a '97 GS Sunvoyager and have enjoyed it twice! Last night we fired it up and got about 2 blocks from the house and an unknown alarm started to go off, but there was no corresponding indicator light anywhere on the dash. We checked the manual and had no luck, also tried fueling it up, and checked the fire alarm and Co2 detector. Any suggestions on what this could be? It is a constant sound, it does not beep beep beep, its a beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep (constant while the engine is running). HELP!!! Thanks!

Unfortunately, I do not know your model, but I had an alarm which was the wind indicater for the auto control on the awning. (It goes off when the wind increases to tell you to put it down). This may help if this is possibily what it is.
It was in a basement compartment.... follow the sound.

(Know this is old, but no one mentioned?) a) seat Belt alarm?; b) LPG/ Propane Leak Alarm at floor level?

Well........... If any of those go off, you should be able to determine which it is simply by following the alarm. Each of those alarms are independent and are easy to find. As stated above, there is also an alarm for the Awning it's found in a forward compartment.

Don't see that we ever got an answer on this one, but I do recall years ago an aunt made the uncle pull over to side of road as she read the manual to determine alarm buzzer, and finally found the Turn Signal had been left ON :-) :-) :-)
One other is the LOW VOLTAGE ALARM (w/ Red Light) on the LPG/CO Detector on the floor

Mine is a 1998 Ultra and does the same thing.....except it's always "at random" and is a five series of five chimes, then it stops. It might happen again 20 minutes to an hour later, and for no logical reason. I tried disconnecting the seat belt alarms one at a time, and it made no difference. The only reference I've found to anything similar is in the Ford manual, it says a fault in the SRS airbag system will cause a series of five chimes, but should also light up the airbag warning light on the dash. It drives me nuts, but I've found no cure.

Check internet by VIN for any recalls (re: airbags)? and/or call Ford truck Dealer?
