Problems emptying holding tank?

Well, we finally took our BT cruiser on her shakedown cruise, and I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Obviously the holding tank drain pipe sits very low on these units, and the campground's hookup pipe was higher than ours. Had to keep lifting the hose up to get it to drain from the low point.

Not having done this often, I'm wondering if this a common problem that people have encountered with these units, or if it's just that this specific site had a higher than normal drain pipe. Sorry for sounding so stupid :roll: , but it's all new to me.

Well, to quote the old plumbers rule:

"$#!+ flows downhill and payday is Fri". In other words, gravity required.

Most I have seen the dump is at ground level or sometimes lower a few inches. Sounds like you had an unusual occurrence.
