Hydro line bubble.

Here we are again with this ___ Hydro system. I found a bubble on the line at the push rod for the kitchen slide. The bubble leaks small drops of fluid over time. I am about to take a cross country trip soon and do not want to get stuck at one of the stops. I found a place that makes hydro lines. While trying to remove the line in the bay of my coach I realized the lines are in pairs attached to each other and they are located over the 90 gallon fresh water tank. I cannot get to the second line connection so my only option is to slide a new line through spaces above and in the bay and just leave to old line disconnected where it is. Oh yes the slide is the kitchen which is the heavest.

Any other ideas???? Or has anyone else replaced their slide hyro lines.

I have a 2007 Yellowstone Country Club Quattro with the Mercedes 330 Diesel on the Freightliner.

Of cousre get the plugs that fit the line or it will drip forever

Never had any problems with hydraulic lines, but what you are doing sounds like a good plan. If you are leaving the old line in its place, you might want to put some caps to prevent any fluid drip.

Thanks for your input. But I wish someone has changed a line and had an easy secret way to get them out without removing the water tank.. Oh well I believe I will get a replacement line and caps for the old line for now. I do not want to wait until the line ruptures and I get hydro oil on the bay and all of my stuff.

If you can get to both ends of the line use a union to tie the old one to the new one then pull the new one in, if thats what your up against?

Just to update you DIYers this job is entertaining.the line with the large bubble on it was hard to get to above the water tank. So I disconnected the line at the Hyde pump side and to confirm I had the correct line I used my air compressor to blow through the line into a bucket to catch the fluid. It blew through the line so I thought I had the correct line. I measured the distance to get a replacement line, went to NAPA where they made me a new line 10ft long. Got both ends hooked up and purged the air from the line. Tested the slide and it slide out on an angle, several slides later I decided I had a problem. Long story, short. There are two hydro cylinders per slide. They are connected to balance the pressure on the slide. The pump hydro line goes to the front cylinder and it has a T connector hooking the line to the cylinder and the other side has a line to the second hydro cylinder. So I had to replace the line through the basement bulkhead, over the diesel tank fished through the chassis to the cylinder with very little space. The line is 16 ft long but I got her done. I am going to see how the jack lines travel and are hooked up. I will also carry a spare 16 ft hydro line.

Ps the old line had many small bubbles along the line. No leaks just bubbles.
