This has been an issue in the past. My air flow meter after 1200 miles is showing full yellow. This is my 3rd filter in two years. We have discussed this before, and I did not see the answer. My Yellowstone Mercedes diesel exhaust is on the same side as the intake which is high on the drivers side. II tow my truck with a Roadmaster shield on the front so I am afraid the shield causes the exhaust to swirl up into the intake. Comments please.

What can be done to correct this?

In my coach it has been like that since the coach was new. I took the coach to Freightliner and they said that the vacuum gauge in the rear are worthless. Mine goes up whether the filter is new or old. So I just ignore the gauge and just change the filter periodically. Fact I just got a new air filter today and will change it out tomorrow.

Thanks, Ray,
Let me know what your gauge does once you drive with it. Steve

We who have the clogged air filter indicator problem after a few miles must have something I common.
I have the driver side high intake and the exhaust on the same side.
I have the Mercedes 330 engine.
I tow my truck with a Roadmaster rock shield on the front.

I have a feeling that the Roadmaster shield caused the air to push the exhaust up into the intake?
I am about to have a scoop made that will get the air intake from the side of the coach. Bad idea? Good idea?
