Windshield curtain cleaning

Anyone have experience in cleaning the windshield curtains. Ours are not what they once were so am interested in the possibility of washing them. Is it possible to wash or should we send them to a dry cleaner?

We Just wash ours.

We have drapes that are lined for the windshield. I took them off and took them to a dry cleaner. He told me that he would not touch them because he said they would probably fall apart. But! he said that the best way is to wash them at a Laundromat with cold water and at the slowest speed the machine has. He said do not add any soap because the Laundromat machine would have enough for that project. Then put them on a dryer and let them dry, but not all the way. Take them out while they are still a bit damp and press them. They came out looking like new drapes.
