I have a Visa 23RBK that needs new tires and am wondering what tires the rest of you are installing? Are you going with bias ply or radials? I think the bias ply has a stiffer side wall so would be less sway than a radial but think the radial may last longer also thinking I should stick with the D rating. What do you think?

Thanks

Tires... Subject of so many differents opinions...

When I took delivery of my Visa, one of the first thing I done was to do a warranty claim about my Trail America (bias) tire, sidewall cracking after one year. GS sent two other Trail America... Done my research, look over differents group, forums... Some may push one brand, some may say to stay away from the China Bombs, like my Trail America...

To make it short, Chinese tires, no. Goodyear Marathon, made in China too...

After looking and looking, I found 2 products. Maxxis M8008 have a pretty good reputation.

Myself, went with Kumho 857 tires. Higher load rationg, higher PSI rating, higher MPH rating.

To this day, after many miles on them, nothing negative about them. Very stable on about every road surface...

As for bias vs radials, I choose radial over bias. I think and feel radials are more stable. I case of a blown tire, bias not having a belt wont cause as much damage...

You have to do research, and choose what you feel confortable with.

Good luck
