We have a 2004 8379 with a CRT TV in the bedroom that we want to remove. I can't seem to see how to remove the wood front to access the hold down clamps. Question is do you have to remove a side panel first or is the front glues on.

on my 8379 the outer frame has four wooden buttons, which pop off to reveal screws

Mine does not have any buttons on the face. The only screws are just visible and I don't think a normal screwdriver will work. They face back into the opening. Thanks anyway.

I have a 2006 Sun Voyageur. I removed the TV in the bedroom by removing 2 screws at the bottom of the wood panel. the screws are in the lower left and right hand corners and you have to shift the TV a fraction to access the screw heads. The screws holding my tv in were Robertson (square) head # 2.
Unfortunately, there are no flat screens available to fill that open frame and big cavity so I built doors to cover the cavity and use them for storage of paper products. Because the new TV's are very light I intend to mount a TV on the door so that I can still access the storage area. Hope that helps.

My old tv was mounted on a slide. I just rolled it out and you could see how it was anchored at the base. Removed it and installed a 19 inch new television. It fit perfect on the box and mounted on the same slide the CRT tv was on.

Sorry I never got back to this. Last year I got brave and took a knife to the edge of the surround. the surround was glued in. I was then able to remove the screws holding down the TV. I made a door to fit the opening. I have a simple slide mount for a 19" flat screen TV that we move into the motorhome when we need it. I still have to finish the interior of the opening.
