Fresh water tank leaks when out of level

Why does my fresh water tank spill out the fill nozzle when I am on a hill or out of level????? How can I fix this water is a precious resource that I don't want to spill.......

Maybe you are over filling the water tank? OR! Why don't you level the coach? If you are dry camping and your coach is not level and if your refrigerator is on propane, you will ruin your fridge. It is very important for a coach to be level.
