Generac unreliable

2007 GS Trio 38'. Generator will start and run well when PRIME after held for about 10 seconds. Generator will run until prime fuel is used then die. After many, many tries, generator may continue to run longer but will eventually (5 to 15 minutes) die of its own accord. Any ideas? Seems as there may be a constant fuel flow problem after PRIME fuel is exhausted but only sometimes.

Change the fuel filter.

I can't find it. Any ideas where?

Well Redeye, we need more information about what kind of motor home do you have. Is it a diesel or gasoline or is the generator propane?

Changed filter. No help. Changed pump, problem solved.
