We picked up our new Vintage today and took it home. Seemed to tow very nicely behind our new Dodge Durango, but the mpg sure dropped like a rock, even at a steady 62. I think I will look into the possibility of upgrading the outlet in my garage to 30 amp, if that is even possible, so that we could hook up in the driveway and run the a/c and everything else, like having a guest house in my driveway! Backing it up is a bit easier than the teardrop trailer we just sold, but not by much. And of course Mother Nature is trying to help us out: we get home and find a tree downed from the rainstorm right into the area where we hope to park the Vintage. An interesting beginning for us. But I'm really looking forward to our first trip in a few weeks down to Arkansas.
