I just purchased a 2007 Gulfstream Vista Cruiser Class C. In the bathroom there is a rocker switch labeled tank heater. I can find no information on it in the owners manual. I assume it is for use of the plumbing during freezing weather. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Is that indeed what it is for and is it effective in fairly cold sub freezing weather? Thank you.

Either it is what you mention or it could be to heat up the hotwater electricaly; try it, you have nothing to loose !

It is likely a heating mat that is stuck to the side or bottom of your black and/or gray waste tanks. I had them in my previous RV that had exposed tanks underneath. To make them more efficient I layered 1" rigid foam insulation on the tanks.

Well, When I bought my first RV. I found it confusing too because the previous owner changed the wiring and this "Tank heater" button would only switch on the rope light. Nothing else!
