I have a 97 18' Innsbruck. The water heater definitely runs on propane, but also seems to run on electric. There is a breaker switch for it, and also a switch on our kitchen cabinet. I made sure the breaker was working and turned the kitchen switch to on. The little light does not come on, and doesn't seem to heat water. After googling I saw several switched located in the heater itself, but can't locate one on my heater. Not sure what I could be missing here. 🤷

It's important to know exactly which model heater you have. Might have been changed. Then get a manual.

Even if there was a switch at your water heater, the light at your switch in the kitchen should come on. Without the light coming on, either there is no power at the switch or the switch is bad. Get yourself a tic tracer / inductive voltage tester. This will help you figure out where the 120v stops. Typically you will have two thermostats in the water heater area. One is for the propane and the other is for 120 volt electric. With the tester you can see if you've got 120 volts flowing through the thermostat. Next is the heating element, if the Tracer says you've got 120 volts there and you are still not getting hot water replace the element. While you are doing that, be sure to replace the anode and flush the tank.

Well, I looked up the model number and it's listed as a propane heater. So I guess it was replaced at some point. What a bummer. Thanks for the feedback.

Mine has 2 temp switches under a plastic cover on the water heater. One of mine was bad. Got model # from part, ordered new from eBay. Fixed same problem on my '99.
