I have a 2007 GS Endura 6340. Chassis is the Chevy Kodiak C5500, Rims are 19.5" Versa Liner SS Wheel liners.

I am having problems checking and putting air in the rear dual tires. I have a truck style Pressure gage and cannot get it on the valve stems to check the tire pressure. Can't get it on at the right angle. I have tried to add the Wheel Master HM Airless and Dicor Air Gard VHS series valve extensions. Both of which are to long and won't fit the way that the instructions say to mount them. They are way to long, about 3", to fit the mount for the end mount on the liners.

Any help would be appreciated.

Air Master extensions sold by Camping World have been used by a couple of my friends and they like them.
Maybe they would work.

The only other thing I can recommend is Myers Tire Supply. They offer a 9-1/2" and a 13-1/2" long flexible stainless braided hose extension on their website.

If you know the length you need, it would help in the search. But I believe most of the extensions are just standard lengths that work in most applications.

Also most truck plaza stops along the interstates will have extensions for duals also. Flying J etc....

Kodiak truck rim tire valves, well they #$#%. Does that explain it? even with extensions, sometimes you can't get the pressure nor put inflate it. The piece inside the stem is so long that it gets bent out of position. I have had new stems put in the rims and I am still having problems.

Maybe if we just vulconize a rubber valve stem to the side of the tires?? OH! That wouldn't work either. You'd have to climb under the truck to check the pressure on the inner tire.

I am going to try GStream40's suggestion and see if they work for me.

We just purchased a Super Nova. Won't go into the many problems created by poor planning and assembly, but we can't check air pressure either. Seems the fancy lug nut caps and other add ons make it impossible. If we can get all the nice looking stuff off, we may be able to get to the tire stems.

We have used the extensions on a previous motorhome and after them costing us a couple of tires we won't ever use them again.

I checked the pressure on all tires on my Kodiak chassis yesterday. It wasn't too hard. The fancy wheel covers were easy to get off since they only have two real "lug nuts". Once off, I could get to all valve stems with one of the angled dual-head tire pressure gages. (I got mine at WalMart.)

We'll get the fancy stuff off so we can check tire pressure.

I finally decided to go with Pressure Pro on all the tires. Now I monitor the tire pressure from the cab. I only have to worry about taking the liners off or getting under neath the MH when the pressure is low.

Fortunatly my 6340 came with the extensiions. But what I would recommend would be go to camping world have them install the ones that would work properly. I don't know where mine came from but they are a little difficult to use, but the job gets done rite.

good luck

Try these. I have heard they are very good, plan on getting some myself. They are extensions made for individual applications, including the Kodiak.
Good luck,
