We just picked up our 2008 BT Cruiser 5272. Like I have read on so many other postings, it has a lot of poorly done interior finish work that we are trying to fix on our own. We paid for the XL package which included solid surface countertops. We have a large splotch of white-ish something on the counter top along with some pretty serious scratches. We don't mind sanding them out ourselves, but we cannot find out what the "solid surface" is so we know what to buy to fix it. There is no literature anyplace, we have written to Gulfstream and also to our sales person, no replies yet. We don't have the "gold" card as we just picked up the coach on Saturday. Does anyone out there know what they use for the counters....is it Corian, Silestone, something else????

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Just an idea...call GS and talk to someone in the service dept. You'd think they have to do enough repairs on them the way they make them that they might have an idea.

So far our counter tops are fine, but we sure have had to rebuild a lot in side to make the coach usable. You'd think with all the bad publicity on the forums they'd do a better job. I've never posted all the problems and should on the "shame" category, but I do have to say we are getting help from GS now. it is just too bad someone can't improve the assembly and QC there.

Thanks, I tried that and was only able to leave a message. I agree with the quality control....we are having to do so much inside just to keep from being punctured, scratched and bleeding! I do think it will be just right for us (and the cat and dog!) when we get it all done. We downsized from a 31 foot Class A and we will definitely miss those basement storage compartments...but, we keep telling ourselves we are "camping", what do we need all that extra stuff for anyway!

I sent you a private email. If you didn't get it, let me know and I'll try again.
