Hi everybody, I just got my 2005 33 ft ultra super c back from the Chevy dealer after thy fixed the right rear sensor. The dealer said the sensor had overheated and melted!!! Luckily it was covered by my extended warranty. When the sensor went bad, all the lights and bells and whisles went off in the cab!!! The dealer also said he had two other m/h on the same chassis (C5500) that had melted sensors, although the sensors had not gone bad(yet!). The mechanic notice the sensor on the other two from working on mine. Now my question is...Is anybody else had problems with their abs brake sensors in the rear of their motorhome?

Is this something you can see/inspect yourself? If so, maybe you could attach a picture so we know where to look...

I did not have a chance to look before I put it in storage, but I am taking it out this labor day weekend. I will look under the coach to see what the mechanic did and report back JB

Hi JB here, I used the motorhome this weekend and had no brake problems !! Thats the good news, the bad news is I forgot to look under the coach to see what was done. I will try to look next week, when I have a chance to go examine the coach.. JB

I just had problems with the rear brakes calipers not releasing and it overheated the sensors and melted them out. I would bet that you have a brake heating up on the rear.

How many miles did you two have on your Kodiak C5500s?

I have 21,316 miles on my C5500 per the invoice that I received from Thorson Motor Center in Pasadena California. They did the repair.
Talk to later JB

The rig I had brake problems with is a 2004 GulfStream Sunvoyager. I had 12000 miles on it.
