I had a very difficult time trying to remove the old unit from my 2006/2007 build BT 5290. I finally discovered there were two long small diameter bolts entering from the bottom side edge of the unit a few inches back from the front and going at an angle back up inside the housing and screwed into the mounting plate that was secured to the wall at the top rear of the microwave. The bolts had about 1/4" hex heads with flat blade screw driver slotted head as I recall. They are not screwed into the supporting wall bracket very far. I had to figure out a completely different way to mount the new unit. The unit I removed was an Amana and it was even older than the RV build date by a few years. The old unit always had an intermittent squeaky noise when driving on a very rough highway. Now I do not have the noise with my new unit. The bolt heads were slightly recessed at an angle in the bottom of the microwave. Good luck.
