Re: Class C Insullation
over cab insulation is the least of your problems. the drafts from the air gaps around the slides is very noticeable during cold weather (BT5291).

Re: "Plasticy" Fresh Water
I never drink the tap water, always buy bottled from the superstore.
I never have to worry about what it's going to taste like or how 'safe' it is.
for every other water use I use what comes out of...

Re: New to RV
bit late to help but... maybe:
city water is straight into plumbing and obviously pressurized.
the other one is usually to the fresh water tank and would require filling up if you're going to be...

Re: 2008 BT Cruiser 5291 hot water by-pass valve
not sure what exactly you're looking for (didn't know there was one). however, have a look in the bottom of the cupboard in the bedroom nearest the shower. is that what you're after?
I'd just flush...

pushing 70mph out of a short wheel base (any) RV is something I wouldn't personally consider reasonable.
a steering damper can help if it jumps around too much but it's the nature of the beast...

Re: Battery Power Problem
there's an 'ATS' (automatic transfer switch) which is under the bathroom sink in my

provide AC to the rest...

Re: Shore line not charging battery
there should be an ATS (automatic transfer switch) under the sink in the bathroom. This switches the AC source to generator after it has stabilized. If shore and generator are running, generator...

no real answers here I'm afraid. there's lots of discussion about onan issues on irv2 and rv.net.

Re: Onan Generator problem
it's usually not a kill switch, just that the tap into the fuel tank is higher than the engine fuel line.
I don't have any good advice except to say that my old rv did this and needed a carb...

the roof is sturdy enough to walk on. as for putting chairs up there, the amount of weight concentrated in one small point from any chair leg could easily puncture the roof.
there's not a whole lot...

I have the 5291B with the 'atrium' which sold it for me. I think the 5290 is more practical as it has a pantry that the 5291B doesn't have.
Internally the finish on mine looks good but doesn't stand...
