The water pump is on the passenger side compartment just in front of the rear wheels. It is in the center under a plastic panel. Take the screws out and take the panel off.

I have a Blue Ox tow bar and a 2010 Honda Fit and I have not had a problem. The Fit is only 2500 lbs.

On the other end of the slide, the roller had eaten into the wood for whatever reason, so I cut the wood out down to the aluminum frame and replaced it with piece of 6” wide stainless steel sheet...
