12v converter

I have a '94 Gulfstream Scenic Cruiser and when the converter comes on the 12v lights dim and when it is not operating the lights are bright and seem normal. Can anybody explain this to me?

Because you started that numert appliances were not working It would seem to be a common problem but in addition I believe you’ll find that there is an internal fuse in the micro/ convection oven.
