I had similar experience with my 2004 e450. Temp and speedometer wasn’t working. Temperature gauge was erratic but scan tool showed temperature of engine was correct and speed sensor was correct. I...

In the rear bumper there are round sensors I have 2 the size of a nickel. If you have them the gadge is showing distance from an obstacle. My sensor is activated only in reverse
