depends on where your water tank is. Ours is under the master bed, and as we virtually never camp in a campground, we modified the top of the tank with a cap to make filling while boondocking easier.

This involved gluing a piece of reinforcing plastic on top in the section we were going to drill, then using a hole saw to cut through the top of the tank. We then use a food safe pressure fitting plug to make the tank watertight against overfill when filling from the house.

To fill on site, you prop up the bed, pull the plug, and you can use a funnel and a bucket to fill.

It's still not ideal, but our fill hose was so long and convoluted that we could NOT fill without pressure from the designed fill spot.
