Hello to all,

I had one of the overhead center lights ballast go bad, back by the sink/mirror in my G7. Instead of hunting down a ballast, I decided to convert the original lamp housings to LED. This was easier than I thought.
I purchased a super-bright LED strip at Fry's Electronics, but these can be had from many places for about 20 dollars. I removed the fluorescent bulbs and housing from the coach ceiling and stripped out the ballast and terminals. Then I simply attached the 2 each glued strip to the lamp and attached it back to the ceiling. After hooking the wires back, I flipped the switch and boom, a very bright light that draws very little power.

Has anyone done the same for the mood lighting on the G7?
