Never had to do anything to the bearings on my motorhome but haven't had one over 50K yet. On the cars I had to replaced them on the originals usually last over 75K. If I cut corners on the bearing, bought the cheaper one, sometimes they go bad in 30K. Having said that, it would be really easy to mess up a wheel bearing job. I went to bearing school for GM and there a lot of things to know about before you can do it right.
