I have the same problem ongoing with my 2007 BT Cruiser. The tail light assemblies are poorly made and I have ongoing problems with poor electrical contact to the base of the bulb. I wish they made new assemblies with LED bulbs. All I end up doing now for a temporary fix is wiggle the connection points . The mounting of the assemble is poorly designed too which would make it difficult to remove. Anyone with any good fixes please email me at
